Pete Dube graduated from Buffalo High School in 1979. Attended Iowa State University and graduated in 1983 with a Fisheries and Wildlife Biology degree. While attending school he worked the summer of 1981 for the Iowa Conservation Commission and the summer of 1982 for the Wyoming Game & Fish Department.
Upon graduation he joined his father, Ron, in the outfitting business. He purchased the business in 1987 and sold it in 2017. He has spent over 30 years guiding and outfitting and running a wilderness summer pack business.
He has continued to own and operate a cattle ranch for over 25 years. Over the years he has served on many boards: Johnson County Tourism, Recreation, Predatory and Buffalo Chamber of Commerce. He has worked with both state and federal agencies regarding grazing and recreation permits in both the outfitting and livestock businesses.
Pete recently completed a 6-year term on the Wyoming Game & Fish Commission serving two years as president. In his role as Commissioner, he served on the ADMB, the Governor’s Wildlife Taskforce and the WYldlife Fund board.
His daughter is a veterinary technician, brand inspector and partner in the ranch. His son is recently married and both he and his wife are teachers in Sheridan, WY.
